01Tools on this site

The trip builder, checklist and guide search work in your browser. They do not ask for a name or email, create an account or send your selections to an editorial mailing list. These tools do not intentionally persist choices after the page closes. Printing, copying a link and email sharing happen when you activate their controls.

02External resources and links

Photographs currently load from Wikimedia image servers, and typefaces from Google Fonts. Requests to these services transmit technical connection information, including an IP address. Hosting and security services may also process request logs. Other websites linked from the guides have their own privacy practices. This edition does not add an editorial newsletter form, advertising tracker or custom analytics script.

03Photograph credits

Each entry links to the original file and its reuse terms. A licence permits reuse under its conditions; it does not imply endorsement by a photographer, land manager or destination. Dates are those recorded by the source, and night-sky images may show a photographic exposure different from unaided-eye viewing.
